These are the terms for using Valen (“the App”), made by GrowthFlux. By using the App, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. What Valen Is

Valen is a productivity app that helps you set goals, manage tasks, track focus sessions, and get AI-powered coaching. Some features require a paid subscription.

2. Your Account

  • You need an account to use Valen (email or social sign-in).
  • Keep your credentials secure — you’re responsible for your account.

3. Age

Valen is suitable for all ages. If you’re a minor, we recommend using the App with your parent or guardian’s knowledge.

4. Don’t Be a Jerk

Pretty simple — don’t:

  • Use the App for anything illegal
  • Try to access someone else’s account or data
  • Mess with the App’s infrastructure
  • Reverse-engineer or scrape the App
  • Try to get the AI to generate harmful or inappropriate content
  • Game the leaderboard

We can suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

5. AI Coaching — Not Professional Advice

The AI coach is here to help with productivity and goal-setting. That said:

  • It’s not a therapist, doctor, lawyer, or financial advisor
  • It can be wrong, incomplete, or off-base sometimes
  • Don’t rely on it for important life, health, or financial decisions

If you’re going through something serious, please reach out to a qualified professional.

6. Your Content

You own everything you create in the App — goals, tasks, reflections, chats, all of it.

By using the App, you give us permission to store and process your content to make the service work. We won’t sell it, use it for ads, or share it publicly (except your name and avatar on the leaderboard).

7. Subscriptions

  • Premium features require a subscription
  • Payments go through the App Store or Play Store — we never see your card info
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel through your store settings
  • Refunds go through Apple/Google, not us
  • We can change which features are free or premium

8. Our Stuff

The App itself — design, code, branding — belongs to GrowthFlux. Don’t copy or redistribute it.

9. Availability

We try to keep things running, but we can’t guarantee 100% uptime. The App might go down for maintenance or updates. We’ll do our best to minimize disruptions.

10. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account and all your data anytime from Profile > Security > Delete Account. It’s permanent and irreversible.

The App is provided as-is. We don’t guarantee it’ll be perfect, always available, or that the AI will always give great advice.

To the extent the law allows, GrowthFlux isn’t liable for indirect damages from using the App. Our total liability is limited to what you’ve paid us in the last 12 months (or $50, whichever is more).

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal.

13. Changes

We might update these terms. If we do, we’ll update the date at the top. Continued use means you accept the changes.
